Our Collections Are All About Amelia
The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum collects objects and archival material that have a direct relationship with Amelia Earhart, her public or private life, and her aviation career. The collection includes Muriel, the Lockheed Electra 10-E, textiles, photographs, objects and archival materials in addition to commemorative materials created posthumously.
Donating to the Collection
The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum actively collects historical materials for its collections, consisting of 3-D objects, original photographs and archival materials. The Museum only collects original materials used by or associated with Amelia.
Potential donations may be coordinated by emailing [email protected] or call 913-372-0021. Materials may not be left at the museum without prior coordination; they will not be accepted. Thank you for understanding.
Conducting Research
Museum staff can answer many questions from students and researchers via email. To view our collections in person, researchers must make prior arrangements for access. Appointments may be arranged by emailing [email protected] or calling 913-372-0021
